A Symposium on Love and Sex is a transdisciplinary discussion between three amazing panelists: 

• Dr. Sukaina Hirji (Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Penn)
• Dr. Marcia Chatelain (Presidential Penn Compact Professor of Africana Studies)
• Dr. Sophie Lewis (Visiting Scholar, Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies)

 
The discussion this symposium aims to cultivate, is one where there is equal parts criticism to optimism. It will be a discussion where we can examine some of the difficulties in our current ideas around sex and loving,  while simultaneously making space for envisioning better practices of loving and sex for the future!
 
NOTE:
Even though the event itself will promptly begin at 3:30pm, some casual food will be provided at 3 pm and note that there will  be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.
