FQT/GSWS Board Member and Weitzman Assistant Professor Akira Drake Rodriguez recently co-authored a piece in The Metropole on the Racialized History of Philadelphia's Toxic Public Schools. The long-defunded Philadelphia Public School system has been in the news in recent years for issues related to environmental health. Rodriguez's co-authored article traces the shortcomings in infrastructure that led to the current toxicity of many school buildings back to the early 20th century.
