The Andrea Mitchell Center and Penn Reproductive Justice are organizing an event called "Reflecting on Abortion Rights 51 Years Post-Roe” where we will watch a screening of the short film “Abortion and Women’s Rights in 1970”, which tells the illegal-abortion stories of two women - one working class, one middle class - and highlights their lived experiences and reflections. Catered dinner from Pataya will be provided. The filmmaker, Mary Summers, a resident senior fellow at the Fox Leadership program and senior lecturer in the Political Science Department at Penn will be leading a reflective discussion and Q&A after the film.
