The Screening Scholarship Media Festival (SSMF) provides a creative, collaborative space to explore the affordances and challenges of multimodal strategies in research, and to interrogate their social implications. SSMF is a hybrid between a traditional academic conference and a film/media festival that fosters the intersection of art and science across disciplines since 2013.

We at CAMRA are pleased to announce that the 8th Annual Screening Scholarship Media Festival (SSMF) is now open for registration. The Festival will be held on March 27th-28th, 2020 at the University of Pennsylvania and is a hybrid of a film/media festival and an academic conference. We invite scholars, activists, artists, filmmakers, and educators of all backgrounds that wish to explore the theme of “Rupture and Repair.” See the attached flyer for more details.
