Take Back the Night is an international movement and protest against sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and all other forms of sexual violence. At Penn, Take Back the Night involves a rally on College Green, a march around campus, and concludes with a survivor speak-out in a candle-lit space. It is a rare opportunity for survivors of sexual violence to speak out in a safe and supportive environment and for the Penn community to come together to support our peers. At Penn, we strive to make Take Back the Night an intimate, inclusive, and community-oriented event.
The night will consist of:
1. Rally with keynote speaker on College Green at 6PM
2. March leaving from College Green following the rally
3. Survivor Speakout in Bodek Lounge 7:30-9ish
4. Debrief (with food!) in the Penn Women's Center following the speakout
People are invited to attend all or part of the night as feels comfortable.
