Please join Women of Fels for an official screening of the movie "She's Beautiful When She's Angry" on Thursday, September 21st.
This documentary focuses on the dramatic events of the feminist movement of 1966 to 1971. The incredible and often forgotten women who defined the movement dealt with issues that continue to affect today's policy and civil rights movements. Through protesting and often radical action, these women made sacrifices to promote greater gender equality in homes, workplaces, and the country. Director Mary Dore uses interviews and original footage to share the struggles and stories of the unsung heroes of the second feminist movement.
Join us for a pre-screening reception at 5pm. The film will begin promptly at 6pm. This event is open to current students and you must RSVP for this event, as space is limited. RSVP to pmeghan@sas.upenn.edu
Hosted with the generous support of the Penn Gender, Sexuality & Women’s Studies Program.
