Around the globe, the challenging topics of race and gender identity are more and more prevalent. Often, these topics intersect with politics, making them even more layered and laden. These conversations aren't easy and yet finding ways to have those uncomfortable conversations appropriately is the key to overcoming our differences and finding common ground.  This session is co-sponsored by Greenfield Intercultural Center; Penn Women's Center; Penn Arts and Sciences; Penn LGBT Center; Penn Spectrum Programs; Program in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies and the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies.

COVID's Impact On Women And Work  - Saturday, Oct 2, 1-1:50 pm
Akira Drake Rodriquez, W'14, G'08 | Pilar Gonalons-Pons | Kathy Wu Brady, ENG'01, W'01 | Holly M. Harner, GNU'97, GR'01 | Sherisse Laud-Hammond, SPP'05

COVID-19 has affected every person on the globe, and yet the impact for women has been more extensive and severe. From disparities that cross gender, racial, and socio-economic strata to caregiving and parenting, the pandemic has disproportionately affected women's labor and labor force participation. Learn how COVID is impacting women and work - and how we can best adapt and thrive in the post-pandemic world. This session is co-sponsored by Penn Forum for Women Faculty; Penn Nursing; Penn Women's Center; Program in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies and the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies.
