Professor Mutcherson is an award-winning professor whose scholarship focuses on reproductive justice, bioethics, and family and health law. She has presented her scholarship nationally and internationally and publishes extensively on assisted reproduction, families, and the law. Her lunchtime talk focuses on a portion of her forthcoming book.

Professor Mutcherson received her B.A. in history from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from Columbia Law School where she was a Stone Scholar. She is currently Co-Dean and Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School in Camden. She teaches courses on Family Law, South African Constitutional Law, and Bioethics, Babies, and Babymaking. Prior to joining the faculty at Rutgers School of Law in 2002, Professor Mutcherson taught at the New York University School of Law, and served as a consulting attorney at the Center for Reproductive Law and Policy (now the Center for Reproductive Rights), and a Staff Attorney at the HIV Law Project.
