Jaime Cantrell, Put a Taste of the South in Your Mouth: The Sex Life of Food in Southern Lesbian Literary Productions

Dr. Jaime Cantrell is a recent visiting assistant professor of English at the University of Mississippi and current faculty affiliate at the Sarah Isom Center for Women’s and Gender Studies and the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, while serving as the Program Coordinator at the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement. She’s been awarded library and research grants from Cornell University, Duke University, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, and is the author of essays and reviews appearing in Feminist Formations, Journal of Lesbian Studies, Study the South, and Journal of Homosexuality, among others. With Amy L. Stone, she co-edited Out of the Closet, Into the Archives: Researching Sexual Histories (SUNY Press, 2015). With a foreword by Ann Cvetkovich, Out of the Closet is a 2016 Lambda Literary Award finalist for Best LGBT Anthology.
