Phyllis Rackin Lecture: Rebecca Laroche on ecofeminsim, early modern women’s writing, and medical history

Rebecca Laroche (Professor of English at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs), whose scholarship on ecofeminism, early modern women's writing, and medical history has been of great importance to scholars of gender and society in the Renaissance. The author of Medical Authority and Englishwomen’s Herbal Texts, 1550–1650 (2009) and co-editor of the volume Ecofeminist Approaches to Early Modernity (2011), Professor Laroche was also the guest-curator of the recent exhibition "Beyond Home Remedy: Women, Medicine, and Science" at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
