"Technology and Women: Protection and Peril"

Thursday, October 20, 2016 - 1:30pm

Location: Perry World House

“Technology” is an increasingly important topic of conversation in society and, particularly, within the criminal justice system and the specific issue of violence against women (VAW).  The goal of this symposium is to create connectivity across content areas and perspectives and take an approach that includes offender behavior, effects on victims, criminal justice intervention, and ethical issues related to technology and VAW.  The closing session for the symposium will include a keynote address by S. Gülser Corat, Director of Gender Equality, UNESCO, and opportunity for Q/A.
